There were plenty of games of huge significance tonight.
Laois hurlers produced a fantastic comeback to ensure that they will be be playing in Division 1 again next year.
It was a disappointing defeat for the Laois camogie team against Derry in O’Moore Park today.
They must defeat Kerry and Tipperary in order to advance to the All-Ireland Quarter final.
Portarlington continued their impressive form in this year’s league campaign with a comfortable Division 1A semi-final win over St Joseph’s.
Portarlington will face Portlaoise in the final. Both teams were in the same group which saw Portlaoise victors when they met.
In the first relegation semi final in that division, O’Dempsey’s were defeated by Ballyroan-Abbey and they will now play the losers of Courtwood and Ballylinan in the final.
Arles-Killeen enjoyed a two point victory over The Heath in Division 1B and they will fight for promotion in the final against Killeshin or Emo.
Trumera booked their place in the Division 2 hurling final after a comprehensive victory over Camross.
They will now play The Harps in the final in the coming weeks.
