Wins for Killeshin and Portlaoise in JFC plus all of Sunday’s Laois GAA results

It was another very busy Sunday of Laois GAA action with a number of games down for decision.

In Round 2 of the JFC, Killeshin struck in the second half to see off 2020 Junior ‘B’ champions Spink.

Spink led 0-5 to 0-3 at the first water break but a Paddy Walsh goal gave Killeshin a 1-5 to 0-7 lead at half time.

The game was level 1-9 to 0-12 at the second water break but a second Paddy Walsh goal was the difference in the end.

The result leaves Killeshin joint top of the group alongside Annanough.

If Annanough defeat Spink in two weeks’ time, Killeshin will join them in the quarter finals. But if Spink win, points difference will have to be used to split the teams.

Elsewhere, in Group A, Portlaoise collected their second win with a seven point victory over The Harps.

They are almost certainly guaranteed a place in the quarter finals barring disaster against Castletown in two weeks time.
