It is another extremely busy day of GAA action in Laois and we have five big championship games taking place today.
After Castletown’s dramatic win over The Harps, there are two more SHC encounters to look forward to today.
There are also two more IHC Round 2 clashes and the first of the Premier IHC games.
The action gets underway with a double header in O’Moore Park.
The first game throws in at 1.30pm and is set to be a titanic clash between Borris-Kilcotton and Camross.
Both teams come into the game desperate for a win off the back of indifferent performances.
Borris-Kilcotton had to come back from the dead in Round 1 to snatch a draw against Abbeyleix last time out.
While Camross were very much second best against Rathdowney-Errill as they fell to defeat.
The second game in Laois GAA HQ is between Rathdowney-Errill and Abbeyleix and it throws in at 3pm.
Championship favourites Rathdowney-Errill were nowhere near their best against Camross in Round 1 but still managed to win.
While Abbeyleix, as mentioned above, almost pulled off a shock and defeated Borris-Kilcotton only for a late PJ Scully free.
The Premier IHC meeting between Colt-Shanahoe and Portlaoise also throws in at 3pm while so too does the IHC encounter between Mountmellick and Trumera.
The final game of the day is at 5pm in Mountrath where they host The Harps.
