All of Saturday’s Laois GAA results as O’Dempsey’s score big win over Portlaoise in IFC

It was a busy Saturday on the GAA front with three senior matches and one IFC game down for decision.

Portarlington, Graiguecullen and Ballyroan-Abbey were the winners in the senior.

While O’Dempsey’s scored a 14 point win over Portlaoise in the the IFC Round 1.

This game was over by half time as Robbie McNeil helped himself to two goals while Eoin Finlay and Darren Finlay also raised green flags.

Ben Brennan and Kyle Enright scored goals for Portlaoise but they trailed 4-10 to 2-2 at half time.

Portlaoise made a better fist of it in the second half as Peter Naughton got in for a goal but the impressive Robbie McNeil finished off the game with a hat-trick.

They now progress to the Winner’s Section of Round 2 alongside Mountmellick, Crettyard and Park-Ratheniska.

While Portlaoise head for the Loser’s Section along with The Rock, Arles-Kilcruise and Timahoe.
