Here are all of Thursday’s Laois GAA results as Junior ‘B’ and ‘C’ football action continues

It was another busy night on the GAA front with games in the Junior ‘B’ and ‘C’ football championships.

In Junior B, Graiguecullen, who only lost the final of the 2020 edition of this competition at the weekend, had a big win over Timahoe to set up a winner takes all clash with Mountmellick for a semi final place next week.

While Slieve Bloom enjoyed victory over Portlaoise in Group D meaning they need just a draw with Ballylinan next week to be assured of their place in the last four.

After preliminary round action last week, the Junior ‘C’ football championship properly began with seven games down for decision.

An Eoin Finlay goal proved crucial for O’Dempsey’s who edged out Clonaslee while Simon Fingleton and Sean Tynan were on target for Park-Ratheniska in their win over St Joseph’s.

David Duffy, Michael Doyle and Colm Wilson all raised green flags for Courtwood in their win over Arles-Kilcruise.

Rathdowney did not have the evergreen Tim Barry in goal tonight but it didn’t matter as they ran out five point winners against The Heath to take their place in the next round.
