All of Wednesday’s Laois GAA Results as a former great rolls back the years

It was another busy evening of championship action as the Junior ‘C’ hurling championship commence.

While there were also games in the second round of the Junior ‘B’ football championship.

Laois’ highest ever scorer James Young rolled back the years as Clonaslee saw off Ballyfin by 14 points in Round 1 of the Junior ‘C’ Championship.

He scored 2-12 of his sides’ total as they advanced to the next round.

They will be joined by Castletown who were inspired by youngster Jamie Conroy in a big win over Trumera while Abbeyleix did likewise agaisnt Colt-Shanahoe.

In Junior ‘B’ football, Stradbally had a big win over Arles-Killeen and their group will be decided next week when they face Rosenallis.

In group C of that competition, Emo and The Rock drew this evening which means that Emo will need to beat Kilcotton by 14 points in order to leap frog The Rock at the top of the table.
