It was another extremely Sunday of GAA action involving Laois teams – both inside and outside the county.
The Laois ladies took the headlines by reaching the All-Ireland Intermediate semi finals after defeating Louth.
While the Laois minor camogie team advanced to the All-Ireland semi finals after defeating Kildare in Hawkfield.
On the domestic front, Spink claimed a place in the 2021 Junior ‘A’ championship by defeating Graiguecullen today.
While Ballylinan have been relegated to Division 1B of the league for 2022 after losing out to O’Dempsey’s tonight.
The home side threatened to run away with it in the opening stages as Matthew Finlay scored two goals and Mark Barry added another to leave them ten points up after just five minutes.
But Ballylinan battled back and a Gary Walsh goal left them just three points down by half time.
They grabbed another goal in the second half but O’Dempsey’s kept them at bay to win by six in the end.
