All of Thursday evenings Laois GAA results as league final and semi final positions confirmed

It was a very busy evening on the GAA front with semi final and final action in the various leagues.

Portlaoise despatched 2020 county semi finalists Graiguecullen tonight and will now play either Portarlington or St Joseph’s in the Division 1A league final.

In Division 3 of the hurling league, Sam Quinn scored 2-2 as Abbeyleix were routine winners over Clonad tonight and they will now take on Portlaoise in the final.

In the same Division, Ballypickas are safe for another year after defeating Rathdowney-Errill in the relegation semi final – with the latter now due to play Mountrath in the final.

Ballinakill progressed to the Division 4 final after defeating Rosenallis and they will play either Camross or The Harps in that.

While in Division 5, Mountmellick will face the winners of Camross and Castletown in one semi final and Clough-Ballacolla will take on Colt-Shanahoe in the other semi final.

Switching back to football, Timahoe’s second team will play in Division 5 next year after they were relegated by Arles-Kilcruise.

While in the current Division 5, second half goals from Marc Ramsbottom and Stephen Knowles saw Park-Ratheniska come from behind to defeat Ballyfin.

They will now play the winners of The Heath and Ballyroan-Abbey who will contest the other semi final.
