After a busy few days, today brought less games but still significant action between club and county.
The big result of the day saw the Laois ladies battled back to defeat Kildare in Round 2 of their All-Ireland Intermediate championship group.
They will play Roscommon next in their final game of the group, with a win or draw, along with a loss of less than 3 points, ensuring their progression to the next stage of the Intermediate championship.
In Division 1A Group B of the football league, Graiguecullen have joined St Joseph’s to book their place in the semi-final.
Ballyroan-Abbey and Ballylinan are now in the relegation semi-finals and they will await their opponents following the game in the other group between Portarlington and O’Dempsey’s game on Tuesday night.
While in that group, Portlaoise defeated Courtwood to ensure their place in the semi-final.
They are currently top of the group but if O’Dempsey’s beat Portarlington they will go first on head to head.
Courtwood will be in the relegation semi-final but they will also have to await their final position in table after the game on Tuesday.
