Laois GAA have confirmed that Enva Ireland will sponsor their development squads for the next three seasons.
The Portlaoise based company is a leading provider of recycling and resource recovery solutions – with locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
With sustainability at the forefront of their proposition, they recover a broad range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials for re-use in manufacturing and energy conversion.
They also provide a complete portfolio of industrial, water and waste water services.
They support the life cycle of waste products to provide either a second life, such as the production of energy or, in many cases, closed-loop recycling solutions.
They will now sponsor all Laois juvenile teams from U-13 to U-16 and Abbeyleix native Richie Kennedy, who is Director of Waste Services ROI in the company and also sits on Laois County Board, welcomed the move.
He said: “We are delighted to come on board with Laois GAA in support of the development squads in hurling and football for the next three years.
“We are here in Portlaoise for the last 40 years and pride ourselves on the development of new people coming into our business.
“So, development young hurlers and footballers fits very well with what we are trying to do.
“We look forward to getting behind the players and our county for years to come.”
Laois GAA chairman Peter O’Neill thanked Enva and Richie for coming on board.
He said: “Laois GAA are thrilled to have Enva sponsoring our Underage Development Squads.
“With Academy and Divisional competitions to be planned for both football and hurling, the future of football and hurling will be bright for Laois GAA.
“Thanks to the kind support of Enva.”
