In the times we are, clubs and organisations have to get creative with their fundraising endeavours – and that is certainly the case here.
Portlaoise GAA club have launched ‘Lockdown Bingo Online’ – with the first one scheduled for Friday March 12 at 7.30pm.
Hurling referee and DJ Brochan O’Reilly will be the resident bingo caller on the night.
PRO Jennifer Fitzpatrick says that bingo will last an hour and give people a chance to have a bit of fun in these tough times.
She said: This will be an exciting new family fun-filled hour every Friday to take your mind off the current restrictions.
“There are lots of cash prizes on offer too.
“While local DJ and top hurling referee “DJ Broc” Brochan O’Reilly will be our resident bingo caller.
“Bingo books can be purchased online at portlaoisegaa.ie and cost €7 for a single book and €12 for double books.
“The bingo fun can be enjoyed every Friday via Zoom or Facebook Live.”
