Spink are through to the final of the junior ‘B’ football championship following a six point win over Rosenallis in Timahoe this evening.

The sides continued to swap points as the half progressed with Jackson and Shane Farrell raising white flags for Rosenallis while Simms and Cha Dwyer replied with a point each to leave Spink 0-9 to 0-5 ahead at half time.
Jackson got the second half underway with a point before Simms and Kehoe pointed. Shane Farrell then won a free for Rosenallis on the edge of the box. Niall Doolan smashed the resulting free towards the top corner but midfielder Jamie Drury got his hand to ball to clear it.
Simms converted a brace of frees to give Spink a six point lead over their opponents at the second water break.
After the resumption, Dwyer put the game to bed with a goal. Aaron O’Dea and Simms linked up to find the on rushing Dwyer on the edge of the box and he made no mistake to find the back of the net.
Spink had a comfortable eight lead with ten minutes to go but Ropsenallis continued to cut back the deficit with points from Paul Maher and a brace from Jackson.
