All of Saturday’s Laois GAA results on another busy day

The first adult men’s county final was decided in Laois today – with Clonaslee getting the better of Crettyard in a dramatic intermediate football decider.

The win is Clonaslee’s sixth intermediate final triumph, which puts them on top of the roll of honour and sees captain John Rigney emulate the achievements of his father Patsy who captained the club to their first title in the grade back in 1981.

The other game in O’Moore Park today saw Ballyfin edge out The Heath by 0-11 to 0-9 to become the first team to book their place in the Laois SFC semi-finals.

In the Junior ‘A’ grade, Portlaoise needed extra time to see off Barrowhouse in the quarter-final while Park-Ratheniska had three points to spare over Kilcavan.

Spink booked their place in the JFC ‘B’ final thanks to a 1-14 to 0-11 win over Rosenallis – and they will play Graiguecullen or Stradbally in the final.

In the Junior ‘C’ grade, Colt are in the final for the second successive year following a big win over Borris-in-Ossory and they will play Kilcotton in the final who had a hard-fought win over O’Dempsey’s.
