The Laois football championships continue this evening with two big games in the senior and intermediate championships.
Emo became the first team to qualify for the quarter finals of the senior championship by defeating neighbours O’Dempsey’s last night in a thriller.
Tonight, we have another Round 2 winner’s section clash as The Heath and Graiguecullen meet in the LOETB Centre of Excellence.
Both enjoyed fine wins over Arles-Kilcruise and Arles-Killeen respectively but this game should be far tougher for each of them.
Graiguecullen will be favourites but don’t be shocked to see a win for The Heath either.
Rory Delaney will be on the live blog with action getting underway at 7.30pm.
While at the same time in Stradbally, Annanough and Mountmellick will meet with championship survival on the line.
Annanough were well beaten by The Rock in Round 1 while Mountmellick went all the way to extra time before losing to Clonaslee.
Mountmellick should progress here and that would put them into a quarter final and leave Annanough, who won the Junior championship in 2018, in the relegation final.
That game gets underway also at 7.30pm with Alan Hartnett on duty and you can follow all of the action from both games as it happens below:
