SENIOR

Group A
The only thing that is certain in this group is that Castletown have no chance of reaching the semi-final and are certain to be in the relegation playoff following losses in their opening two games.
Rathdowney-Errill and Clough-Ballacolla are in the driving seat to advance with Ballacolla expected to beat Castletown. Abbeyleix still have a chance but they must beat Rathdowney-Errill.
The smart money is on Rathdowney-Errill and Clough-Ballacolla to go through with scoring difference set to be needed to decide who tops the group.

Group B
Borris-Kilcotton are assured of a semi-final place after two wins from two games but they need to beat Rosenallis in their remaining game to top the group.
Camross have no chance of reaching the semi-final but will avoid a relegation playoff if they beat Ballinakill. A draw would be enough for Ballinakill to ensure that it’s Camross finish bottom of the group and would have to play off Castletown who will be bottom of the other group.
Ballinakill have an outside chance of reaching the last four but they would need a overturn a 29 point scoring difference.
In all likelihood it will be Borris-Kilcotton and Rosenallis going through.
PREMIER INTERMEDIATE

Group A
This is a straight-forward situation. Portlaoise and Slieve Bloom are already through to the semi-final and will meet in the final group game to decide who tops the group.
Ballyfin and Colt-Shanahoe are already out but the loser of their final group game will have to play Mountrath in the relegation playoff.

Group B
The Harps are through and are certain of top spot even ahead of their final game against Mountrath, who cannot finish anywhere other than bottom after two opening round losses.
The second semi-final place will go to the winner of the Camross-Clonaslee Round 3 clash.
INTERMEDIATE

Group A
Out of all the competitions, this is probably the most wide open group going into the final round.
Despite winning both their games, Mountmellick aren’t guaranteed a semi-final place. And despite losing both of theirs, Park-Ratheniska/Timahoe aren’t yet out.
If Mountmellick were to lose to Clough-Ballacolla and Borris-Kilcotton beat Park-Ratheniska/Timahoe, then scoring difference would be needed and it’s all very tight at the moment.
Likewise if Mountmellick and Park-Ratheniska/Timahoe win their last games, then scoring difference would be needed to decide who gets second spot in the group – and who goes into the relegation playoff against Ballypickas.

Group B
This one is straight-forward enough. Rathdowney-Errill are assured of topping the group and Ballypickas are definitely in the relegation playoff.
The winner of the Trumera-Clonad game will go through to the semi-final in second place.
JUNIOR ‘A’

Group A
All very straight forward here. The Harps and Abbeyleix are through to the semi-finals and will meet in the final group game to decide who tops it.
Rathdowney-Errill and Colt-Shanahoe are out and play to see who goes into the relegation playoff.

Group B
Similar to Group A, the semi-finalists are known with a game to spare. Portlaoise and Castletown are through; Mountrath and Borris-Kilcotton are out.
The final round of group games will decide placings.
JUNIOR ‘B’

Group A
Park-Ratheniska/Timahoe have pulled out of this competition and Camross have won their two games to date and so they’re through.
Kyle and The Harps meet in the final group game to see who joins them.

Group B
It’s all still to play for in this group. Portlaoise have won both their games to date but need a draw against Ballinakill to be sure of their semi-final place.
Scoring difference could be needed in this group and Rathdowney-Errill can still go through if they beat Mountmellick and Ballinakill lose.
JUNIOR ‘C’
This is played on a straight knockout format and is down to the semi-final stage where Castletown will play Rosenallis and Clonaslee will play Clough-Ballacolla.
