The Laois ladies football team has been announced for Sunday’s clash against Wicklow.
They welcome the visitors to the LOETB Centre of Excellence, Portlaoise tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm.
The game will be manager, Donie Brennan’s first competitive game over the team who are hoping for a strong season.
There are a few new faces added to the squad as well as returning players such as Anna Healy, Caoimhe Simms, Mo Nerney and Foxrock-Cabinteely player, Laura Nerney.
Despite being an overly young team, the likes of Emma Lawlor and Erone Fitzpatrick have plenty of experience at inter-county level as well as collecting Leinster and All-Ireland school’s medals over recent years.
During the week, Brennan announced that 2019 Laois Ladies footballer of the Year, Anna Healy would be captain for the upcoming season.
She will be joined by vice-captain, Laura Nerney, in their bid to glory for 2020 which they begin tomorrow.
